  • Storeperson - Casual/Part Time

    We’re looking for a positive, enthusiastic storeperson to join our team! This is a physically demanding job, with some heavy lifting involved.


    Hours

    Approx 15 hours per week, with the possibility of it becoming a full time role.

    Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends and split shifts. You may also need to be able to work through December and January.


    Job Description

    As a storeperson, your role will include a variety of jobs and responsibilities, including:

    • Assisting on setting up and packing down of events
    • Packing, maintenance, cleaning and preparing equipment, florals and supplies
    • Packing florals and event items in a methodical and tidy manner into the vehicles
    • Delivering and collecting orders and supplies
    • Keeping the company cars clean and tidy
    • Keeping the office and storeroom clean and tidy
    • Other duties to support our team


    Skills and Qualifications

    • You will need to demonstrate that you can work in a motivated and detail-oriented fashion
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Have competent computer skills
    • Be punctual and reliable
    • Be physically fit and able to climb ladders
    • Be able to work independently
    • Have a full, clean drivers licence
    • Ability to be flexible with your hours

  • Florist - Casual/Part Time

    If you are a qualified, experienced and creative florist then we’d love to hear from you! As a florist at Kim Chan Events, you will help to create unique and amazing magic for our brides, corporate clients, private events as well as bouquets for delivery.


    Hours

    This is a part time position starting at 1 day per week. You will have the option of working within school hours.

    Candidates will need to be able to work through December and January.


    Job Description

    As a sustainable florist, your role will include:

    • Creating bouquets and flowers for delivery
    • Creating and designing floral arrangements – from flower walls to buttonholes
    • Assisting with on-site floral setup and takedown


    Skills and Qualifications

    • Have experience in the floral industry
    • Be competent in creating bouquets, floral displays and other floral arrangements
    • Be creative, passionate and share in our vision for sustainability
    • Be able to work unassisted

    Have a full, clean drivers licence

  • Florist and Marketing Assistant -  Casual/Part Time

    If you are a qualified, experienced and creative florist who also enjoys sharing your work and helping a brand grow, then we’d love to hear from you!


    At Kim Chan Events, we create unique and sustainable floral designs for weddings, corporate functions, and private events, as well as bouquets for delivery. This role is a mix of hands-on floristry and creative marketing — perfect for someone who loves flowers but also enjoys storytelling, social media, and connecting with people.


    Hours

    This is a part-time position starting at 1 day per week, with the option of working within school hours.

    Candidates must be available to work through December and January.


    Job Description

    As a sustainable florist and marketing assistant, your role will include:


    Floristry & Styling

    • Creating bouquets and flowers for delivery
    • Designing floral arrangements – from flower walls to buttonholes
    • Assisting with on-site floral setup and pack-down


    Marketing & Sales Support

    • Capturing and posting engaging content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, pintrest)
    • Assisting with email newsletters and seasonal promotions
    • Updating our website (Shopify) and online galleries with recent work and testimonials
    • Responding to social media messages and enquiries in a friendly, timely way
    • Helping prepare client proposals and presentations
    • Supporting client growth through networking opportunities and relationship building
    • Work with Canva to produce content for our website and social media.


    Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience in the floral industry, with competence in creating bouquets, floral displays and other arrangements
    • A flair for creativity, passion for sustainability, and an eye for design
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative
    • Confidence using social media platforms for business purposes
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • A full, clean driver’s licence
