Our Story

Kim Chan Events is Christchurch's leading corporate event environment design studio — and one of New Zealand's most experienced.

For nearly 30 years, founder Kim Chan has been designing the spaces where business happens. Conferences, gala dinners, award nights, product launches and incentive events — we create environments that reflect your brand, impress your guests and make your event feel intentional from the moment people walk in.

We hold preferred supplier status at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and have won three consecutive Meetings industry awards (2022, 2023, 2024). Our clients have included Foodstuffs, Harcourts, Ngāi Tahu, Christchurch Casino, LVMH, Heineken and the Hong Kong Sevens.

We design responsibly. We minimise floral foam, source locally, forage where we can, and donate fresh flowers to Retirement Homes, Hospice and Nurse Maude after every event. Our extensive premium botanical catalogue means installations are reused across hundreds of events. Plants are hired and returned to nurseries or donated to Christchurch community green corridors. It's not perfect — but it's intentional.

Our Team

Our small, specialist team brings decades of combined experience in floristry, botanical design and event styling. Senior florist Fiona has been with KCE for seven years — her attention to detail and knowledge of what works in a live event environment is exceptional.

We're a tight team. Every member understands that corporate events are high-stakes and that getting it right on the day is non-negotiable. We take that seriously.
